Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mitsuyo Maeda Maeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Delson Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Delson Ribeiro! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ribeiro throws a nice outside leg kick. Ribeiro closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Ribeiro in side control, just content to control the action for now. Maeda takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Ribeiro taking a breather here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ribeiro looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Maeda tries to bench press Ribeiro off him but Ribeiro keeps the position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Maeda is working hard here to advance position. Maeda is working to avoid the ground and pound but Ribeiro connects with a decent elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Maeda tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ribeiro wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Maeda takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Maeda tries to get back to half guard but can't. Maeda is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Ribeiro is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Ribeiro postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Maeda looks a forlorn figure.
Ribeiro sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Maeda is looking to improve his position but Ribeiro isn't that keen on the idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ribeiro content just to control the position here. Maeda is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Maeda tries to get back to half guard but can't. Ribeiro has hold of Maeda's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Maeda manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Ribeiro landing strikes from the mount and Maeda is in trouble! Maeda is looking to improve his position but Ribeiro isn't that keen on the idea. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ribeiro controlling the position easily from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Delson Ribeiro dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Maeda shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Ribeiro counters with a single leg into guard. Maeda didn't expect that. Ribeiro showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Maeda looking to control.
Ribeiro decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Maeda with a poor takedown and Ribeiro counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Maeda's guard now. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ribeiro controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Ribeiro postures up and lands a big shot to Maeda's brow. Ribeiro controlling from the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maeda is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Maeda is looking for a triangle but Ribeiro pushes his legs off easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ribeiro showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ribeiro passes into half guard. Maeda looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Ribeiro wants to work for an arm triangle but Maeda is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ribeiro prevents Maeda from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ribeiro content to control rather than advance. Maeda looking for submissions off his back. Ribeiro keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Maeda is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ribeiro pulls his head out easily. Still in half guard, Ribeiro seems content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ribeiro frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Ribeiro working the ground and pound effectively.
It looks like Mitsuyo Maeda Maeda has been cut. Ribeiro working Maeda over with strikes here.
Maeda is rocked! Ribeiro has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Maeda is desperately trying to improve his position but Ribeiro has a good base and remains in mount. Ribeiro looking to control and managing it successfully. Ribeiro postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Maeda in real trouble here! The ref calls for Maeda to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
