Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tommy Wasson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eddie Alverez! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wasson dips to his left and cracks Alverez with an uppercut!
It looks like Eddie Alverez has been cut. Alverez looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! The fight moves into the clinch position. Wasson breaks from the clinch.
Wasson drops his shoulder and cracks Alverez with a huge uppercut! Alverez goes down! Can Wasson finish him?
Alverez is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wasson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Alverez is still in real trouble! Can Wasson finish him? Wasson's corner is telling him to maintain position. Wasson won't allow Alverez to sweep him here. Alverez seems to have recovered his senses. Wasson showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Wasson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alverez swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wasson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Wasson is in close to Alverez's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Wasson wants to get up but he can't break Alverez's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Alverez keeping moving, preventing Wasson from controlling successfully. Wasson controls from within his opponent's guard. Wasson wants to control from the top but Alverez keeps moving. Wasson stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Wasson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Wasson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Wasson lands with a big left! Alverez is wobbled badly! Wasson comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Alverez to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Tommy Wasson!
