And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brendan Mullen!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mullen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Swansgold.
Swansgold tries to clinch up but Mullen circles away and keeps his distance.

Mullen takes the fight into the clinch.

Mullen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Swansgold defends well.

Mullen has his foot on Swansgold's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Swansgold works his way back into a safe position though.
Swansgold really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mullen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Swansgold defends it easily.
Swansgold knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mullen on the ground.

Swansgold avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Mullen preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Swansgold would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Swansgold has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Mullen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Swansgold can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Swansgold avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mullen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Swansgold wants to stand but Mullen has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mullen is looking for a triangle but Swansgold pushes his legs off easily.
Swansgold tries to free his leg and advance position but Mullen is retaining full guard.

Mullen looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Swansgold wants to stand but Mullen is controlling his posture from full guard.
Swansgold wants to control from the top but Mullen keeps moving.

Mullen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Swansgold doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Swansgold manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Swansgold stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mullen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Swansgold is looking to stand up but Mullen won't let him.

Oh but Mullen is tightening it up a little... Swansgold has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Swansgold reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Swansgold taps out! nice BJJ there by Mullen!
