The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Vernon can pounce on him.
Peters swats away the attempt to clinch by Vernon.
Peters throws a one two combo.
Vernon misses with a head kick.
Vernon throws a solid leg kick but Peters takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Vernon.
Peters moves out of range of the body kick.

Peters darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Vernon wants to control but Peters is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Vernon is trying to stand.
Peters with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Vernon tries to kick Peters off but Peters keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Vernon kicks off Peters and gets to his feet.
Vernon fails in his attempt to clinch.

Vernon is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Peters throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vernon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
