Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Habanero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reko Mehtala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Habanero comes to the cage accompanied by NERD - Rockstar. Mehtala has chosen Koto - Jabdah as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Rafael Habanero has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Habanero misses with a body shot.

Rafael Habanero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Habanero throws a looping overhand right but Mehtala ducks down to avoid it.

Mehtala fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Habanero sprawls well initially but Mehtala persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Habanero has one foot on Mehtala's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Mehtala shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Habanero as he avoids it easily.
Mehtala lunges at Habanero with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Habanero's hand.
Habanero uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mehtala has time to react.
It looks like Reko Mehtala has been cut.
Habanero throws a series of punches but Mehtala moves out of range.
Mehtala scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
No joy there for Mehtala, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mehtala uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Habanero.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Habanero slaps away a takedown attempt from Mehtala, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Mehtala slips a jab and a cross from Habanero.
Mehtala has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Habanero finds it's way round the side to connect with Mehtala's head.

Mehtala is pressing down on Habanero's thigh, looking to free his foot. Habanero is holding on for now.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Habanero kicks off Mehtala and gets to his feet.
Habanero throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mehtala counters with a stiff right hand.
Habanero misses with a straight left.
An inside leg kick lands from Habanero.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Habanero stuffs the takedown attempt from Mehtala. Mehtala gets slowly back to his feet.

Mehtala switches off momentarily and Habanero cracks him with a monster right hand! Mehtala topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Habanero dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Habanero!
