Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey Gomes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fuske Fuse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomes kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Tropa de Elite - Tijuana. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeffrey Gomes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fuske Fuse! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fuse throws a wild body kick that Gomes sees coming a mile off. Gomes looks to land a combination. Fuse sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Fuse shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gomes sprawls well. Gomes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fuse gets slowly back to his feet. Fuse throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Gomes drives through with a takedown into guard. Gomes sitting in guard here, content to control. Fuse striking off his back but it's not causing Gomes any problems. Fuse tries to land a sweep but no joy. Fuse is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Gomes scoring with some ground and pound. Gomes lands a couple of elbows. Fuse is working an open guard so Gomes takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Gomes tries to clinch but Fuse is having none of it. Gomes fails with the takedown and Fuse counters with a takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gomes taking punishment in the form of punches.
Gomes tries to get back to half guard but can't. Gomes is trying to control Fuse's posture but Fuse avoids it. Fuse working the head with strikes. Gomes is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Fuse lands an elbow. Fuse working away. Fuse stands up and beckons Gomes to his feet. Gomes is breathing heavily. Gomes moves into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fuse goes for a takedown in the clinch but Gomes prevents it.
Fuse tries to circle away but Gomes has him pinned against the cage. Gomes prevents Fuse from breaking the clinch. Gomes breaks the clinch.
Jeffrey Gomes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fuse circles away from the clinch attempt and Fuse counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Fuse missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gomes trying to hold on to Fuse's head to control him but Fuse postures up.
Gomes holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Fuse thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gomes's head. Gomes wants to improve his position but Fuse is controlling well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Fuse is nestled in close to Gomes, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fuse shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Fuse prevents Gomes from getting the reversal. Gomes is working hard here to advance position. Fuse with good strikes from the mount here! Gomes swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fuse landing punches. Gomes wants to control but Fuse is having none of it.

Fuse slips a nice elbow through Gomes's hands, connecting with Gomes's forehead. The fighters are battling for position here. Gomes manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Fuse thows a big elbow that misses. Gomes avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Fuse is working Gomes over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Gomes avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Fuse missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fuse scoring with punches to the head and body. Gomes lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fuse! Fuse tries to reverse the position but Gomes maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Fuske Fuse will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Gomes clinches but Fuse breaks the clinch and Fuse counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gomes won't be happy with that. Fuse lands some shots froms side control. Gomes pushes Fuse away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Fuse gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Gomes sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Gomes is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Fuse scores with a couple of nice shots. Fuse lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Fuse lands strikes from half guard. Gomes won't allow Fuse to pass to mount. Fuse thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Fuse throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Fuse takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gomes makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gomes. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fuse content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Fuse is looking to work some ground and pound but Gomes has wrist control. Fuse makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Gomes is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Gomes with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Fuse is trying to stand back up but Gomes is controlling him
Fuse is trying to get back to full guard. Fuse is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Fuske Fuse has got the better of the ground game so far. Gomes stops Fuse from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Well, if Gomes is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Fuse is trying to stand up here but Gomes is controlling him well. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gomes connects with a nice short shot to Fuse's temple.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Gomes gets in close and instigates a clinch. Fuse tries to score a body lock takedown but Gomes shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Fuse looking for a takedown. Fuse is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Jeffrey Gomes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fuske Fuse. Gomes lands with a left to the head. Gomes has Fuse pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fuse manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Gomes keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Fuse's efforts to push away. Fuse wants to stall.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Fuse pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Gomes misses with a takedown attempt and Fuse counters with a good, hard body kick but Gomes shrugs it off. Fuse wants to clinch up but Gomes keeps it at a distance. Fuse changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gomes tries to avoid it but Fuse manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gomes to the ground. Gomes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Fuse throws a right and a left that both miss. Fuse takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Gomes fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Fuse misses with a head kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Gomes moves into range and clinches up with Fuse. Gomes gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Fuse.
Fuse manages to break the clinch.
Gomes doesn't succeed with the takedown and Fuse counters with a left and a right that stings Gomes. Fuse circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gomes misses with a wild body shot. Gomes defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fuse. Gomes throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Fuske Fuse showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Gomes counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Gomes lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Fuse wants to stand up but Gomes is controlling him. Fuse being controlled here, momentarily. Gomes stopping the sweep attempt from Fuse. Fuse wants to get back to his feet but Gomes is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Gomes advances to half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gomes lands a nice short elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fuse is looking for a sweep. Gomes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Gomes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Fuse punching from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Fuse is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Gomes is looking to take a break and control but Fuse is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Fuse is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Fuse works his way to full guard. Good work. Fuse is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Fuse trying to strike off his back.

Gomes really wants to buck Fuse off and get back to his feet. Fuse landing strikes, looking to finish! Gomes is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Gomes can't escape the position.
Gomes tries to hold on but Fuse postures up. Jeffrey Gomes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Fuske Fuse is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Jeffrey Gomes showed his dominance in that final round. I think Fuse has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
