The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kambei has managed to clinch.
Kambei tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Frankera smiles and moves away.
Kambei tries to close the distance and clinch but Frankera swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Frankera looks to clinch
and Kambei counters with a shoot takedown. Frankera fights it but they end up in guard.
Kambei won't allow Frankera to sweep him here.
Kambei is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Frankera is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kambei trying to control but Frankera is working from the bottom.
Kambei is pushing down on Frankera's leg trying to pass to half guard. Frankera is fighting to maintain full guard but Kambei has managed to sneak the leg through.
Frankera is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Kambei has latched onto it... Big trouble! Kambei pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Frankera is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Kambei!
