The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Apedalo shoots in but no luck this time.

Apedalo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jenkins to the mat! Jenkins manages to get full guard.

Apedalo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jenkins looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jenkins looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jenkins!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jenkins stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jenkins wants it to stay on the feet.
Apedalo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
