Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Bisping! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Doorman! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bisping shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Doorman defends it nicely. Bisping shoots in but Doorman avoids the takedown attempt easily. Bisping shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Doorman defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Bisping. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bisping tries to score a power double leg takedown but Doorman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bisping somewhat. Doorman defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bisping. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bisping gets in close and instigates a clinch. Bisping stalling in the clinch.
Doorman tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bisping smiles and moves away.
Bisping stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bisping wants it to stay on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bisping is trying hard to land a takedown here. Doorman sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Bisping fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Doorman, pushing him back against the cage. Bisping breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Doorman misses with a double jab.
Doorman tries to clinch so Bisping counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Doorman controls Bisping momentarily but Bisping frees himself. Doorman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bisping is one step ahead there. Doorman trying to keep a closed guard but Bisping is proving a slippery customer.
Bisping stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Doorman swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bisping is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bisping stopping the sweep attempt from Doorman. Doorman is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Doorman wants to hit a switch here but Bisping passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Doorman there! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bisping controlling the position easily from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doorman tries to hold on but Bisping postures up. Doorman tries to control the position but Bisping now has his back.
Bisping thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. I really don't envy Doorman right now.
Doorman wants to control his opponent's hands but Bisping gets his hands free. Bisping has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Doorman is defending well but eventually Bisping manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Doorman has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
