Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Uichico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and anderson silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). silva has chosen crickets as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Uichico! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, anderson silva! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Uichico looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Uichico wants to take a breather but silva is having none of it. Uichico wants to pass to mount but silva is defending the position. Uichico prevents silva from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Uichico trying to control from half guard but silva is working away. Uichico performing his best blanket impression for a moment. silva wants to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. silva throws a lazy right hand but Uichico sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. silva shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Uichico counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for silva! Uichico looking to control but silva is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Uichico has control of silva's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and silva regains control of the situation pretty easily.
You get the feeling that silva really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Uichico looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Uichico working for a guillotine from mount but silva is in no mood to give up. Uichico looking to secure an arm triangle but silva defends it well. Uichico is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Uichico extends the arm and silva is forced to tap!
