Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taka Masahuku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Gruber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gruber closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gruber lands in his opponent's guard.
Gruber trying to control but Masahuku is working from the bottom.
Gruber wants to pass the guard but Masahuku is keeping the position.
Masahuku looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Gruber is looking to stand up but Masahuku won't let him.

Masahuku lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gruber!
Gruber is desperately trying to improve his position but Masahuku has a good base and remains in mount.
Masahuku wants to take Gruber's back here but Gruber is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Masahuku is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Gruber has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Gruber tries to buck Masahuku off but Masahuku is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Masahuku looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Gruber!
Masahuku has control of Gruber's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gruber regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Masahuku is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gruber can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Masahuku moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Gruber has worked his arm free - good work by Gruber!
Gruber is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Masahuku asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Masahuku has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Gruber wants to clinch.
Masahuku gets the takedown into side control.
Masahuku wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gruber, who protects the arm well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Masahuku swings around for an armbar but Gruber sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Masahuku's guard.

Masahuku shoots in and drives through. Gruber sprawls well.
Hans Gruber is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gruber tries to clinch but Masahuku moves out of range.
Gruber should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Masahuku shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Gruber fails with an attempt to clinch.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Masahuku.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hans Gruber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Masahuku bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Masahuku advances nicely into full mount.
Masahuku thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Gruber wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Masahuku.

Masahuku throwing strikes here but Gruber is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Gruber sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Masahuku is keen to just control but Gruber is a slippery customer.

Masahuku is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gruber defends it well.
Gruber wants to control but Masahuku is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Masahuku is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gruber doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Masahuku.
