The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curcic is looking to clinch but Bold is avoiding it.

Curcic closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Bold is looking for a sweep. Curcic is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Curcic wants to take a breather but Bold is having none of it.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bold trying to hold on to Curcic's head to control him but Curcic postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bold throws a head kick but Curcic moves out of range.
Bold looks gassed!

Curcic moves into the clinch.

Curcic wants a takedown.
Curcic gets underhooks to prevent Bold's takedown attempt.
Bold jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Curcic walks away with a smile on his face. Bold gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Ivan Curcic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harry Bold.
Curcic is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Curcic shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Curcic is pushing down on Bold's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bold is fighting to maintain full guard but Curcic has managed to sneak the leg through.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Curcic in particular looking to stall.
Curcic will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Curcic looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bold with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Bold is refusing to be controlled, as Curcic sits in half guard.
Bold is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Curcic scores with a couple of nice shots.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bold can do anything to dispel that myth.
Curcic wants to control but Bold is keeping him busy.
Curcic stops Bold from getting back to his feet.
Curcic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bold keeps working.
Curcic is really struggling to control Bold but he's trying to hold on to the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Ivan Curcic just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Curcic tries to clinch up but Bold circles away and keeps his distance.

Curcic shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bold but Bold pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Curcic wants to sweep here but Bold controlling him for the moment.
Curcic is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Bold wants to control the action here but instead Curcic manages to pass to full mount!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Curcic scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Curcic is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bold has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Curcic has hold of Bold's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bold manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Bold is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Curcic is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Curcic!
