Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake Walker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jake Walker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ed Wood! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Wood darts in and clinches Walker up against the cage. A nice glancing elbow lands by Wood. Walker wants to get back to striking at distance but Wood won't allow it.
Walker avoids the elbow strike from Wood, against the cage.
Walker tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Wood just stands there and leans against the cage. Walker is trying to break the clinch but Wood is controlling him. Wood throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Walker blocks it with crossed arms. A right hand to the body from Wood.
Wood looking to throw knees to the head but Walker is blocking nicely.
Walker jumps guard but Wood stands there with Walker around his waist. Walker gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Wood lands a knee to the body.
Wood leaning his opponent against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Walker's face as he tries to break the clinch. Walker working hard to break the clinch. Wood misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Walker.
Walker breaks from the clinch.
Wood pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Walker swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Wood. Wood shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Walker's guard. Wood passes Walker's left leg - he's now in half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nice strikes from Wood there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wood throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wood seems to be working for a kimura but Walker defends the submission attempt. Wood tries to pass the half guard into mount. Walker knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Wood looks gassed! Wood throwing shots but Walker is blocking nicely. Walker slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Walker had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wood defends it easily. Wood stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Walker swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wood throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Walker works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Wood thows a big elbow that misses. Walker not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Wood drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Walker manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Wood has Walker in his guard. Walker pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wood is keeping the position for now. Walker trying to control the position from guard on top but Wood is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wood looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Walker puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Wood tries to get to full guard but Walker has control of the leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wood trying to control from the bottom.
Wood is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Walker stalling away here and it's allowed Wood to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Walker postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Wood is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Walker, into his guard. Wood landing some decent shots from guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Wood avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Wood is looking to work some ground and pound but Walker has wrist control. Wood postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Wood scoring with some ground and pound. Wood slips nicely into half guard. Walker moves into full guard.
Walker is looking for a triangle but Wood pushes his legs off easily.
Wood pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Walker is keeping the position for now. Wood lands a couple of elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ed Wood dominated that round. That's time! Walker's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Wood throws a leg kick but Walker sees it coming and checks it nicely. Wood walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Walker checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Walker keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Walker darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Walker lands a two punch combo.
Wood misses with a kick to the body.
Walker moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Wood pulls out of a head kick attempt.
No joy there for Walker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Walker blocks a head kick by Wood.
A leg kick checked by Walker. Walker throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Walker misses with a two punch combination.
Wood closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Wood misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Walker.
Walker has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Wood just misses with a elbow thrown towards Walker's brow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Walker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wood throws out a leg kick but Walker moves out of range and Wood only half commits. Wood throws a front kick aimed at Walker's knee but Walker avoids it well. Walker looks to land a combination but Wood avoids it well. Walker lands a high kick!
Wood throws a body kick the misses and Walker counters with a straight right hand. Wood doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Ed Wood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wood is breathing heavily. Walker throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Wood looks to land a body kick but Walker moved away. Jake Walker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wood clinches. Walker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Walker lands with a right hand. Wood throws a solid leg kick but Walker takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Wood. Wood is looking to clinch. Wood misses with a low kick.

Walker lunges at Wood with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Wood's hand. Wood throws a sloppy head kick and Walker counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Wood tries to move into range but Walker moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Walker looks to land a body kick but Wood moved away. Walker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Walker connects with a single shot there. Walker cracks Wood with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Walker throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Walker keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Wood is rocked! Jake Walker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Walker fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Walker looks to land a body kick but Wood moved away. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Walker checks a leg kick. Wood throws a sloppy head kick and Walker moves out of range easily. Wood throws a leg kick but Walker checks it. Donk. Walker catches Wood right on the button with a cross. Wood has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Walker finds it's way round the side to connect with Wood's head. A head kick misses from Wood.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walker misses with a body shot.
Wood buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Walker moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Walker lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Wood is still on wobbly legs! Can Walker finish him? Walker just misses with a punch to the body.
Wood seems to have recovered his senses. Good leg kick by Wood there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Wood gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Walker stuns Wood with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Wood throws a head kick but Walker moves out of range.
Wood throws a push kick but Walker slaps the foot to one side. Walker blocks a head kick by Wood.
Wood looks for the body kick but Walker saw that one coming. No joy there for Walker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Walker ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Wood takes one to the chin there. Walker jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wood takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Walker connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Wood's hands. Wood fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wood takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Wood needs to keep his hands up - Walker had a free shot at his head there. Walker lands a nice hook to Wood's body. Wood takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Walker throws a head kick but Wood moves out of range.
Walker lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Wood on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Walker. Walker obviously looking to wear him down.
Walker throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Wood's head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Wood walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Wood takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Walker lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Walker circles away from the clinch attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Walker dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Walker throws a leg kick which misses Wood's front leg but catches the back leg as Wood tries to avoid it. Walker fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Wood on the side of the head. Wood on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Walker lands a jab to Wood's midsection. Wood avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wood takes a shot right to the bread basket. Walker throws a sloppy head kick and Wood counters with a head kick. That will keep Walker thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Walker!

Jake Walker is winning the standup battle so far. Walker lands a left and a right that send Wood crashing to the mat, dazed. Walker thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Walker fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Wood looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Walker scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Walker is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Wood can do to turn this around? Walker lands a hook that stumbles Wood back into the cage. Walker follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Wood to the canvas! Walker pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Wood has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
