Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josu Ander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Steven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steven has chosen "Hip To Be Square," by Huey Lewis and the News as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Steven!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ander misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ander fails to land the takedown.
Steven throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ander takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ander tries to keep at a distance but Steven has taken the fight into the clinch.
Ander tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josu Ander. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Steven connects with a nasty looking knee right to Ander's face.
Steven lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Steven makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Steven misses with a punch on the inside.
Ander is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Steven lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Ander or not.
Ander takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Josu Ander has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Steven creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Ander's defenses.
Ander will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Steven up against the cage.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Ander for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
Steven manages to break the clinch.
Steven tries to land a leg kick but Ander saw it coming and moves away.
Ander misses with a straight left.
Ander shoots in for a takedown but Steven shows good takedown defense.
Ander fails to land the takedown.
Ander shoots for a double leg takedown but Steven sprawls well. He's pushed Ander's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Steven ducks under a wild hook from Ander.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ander swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Steven counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Ander is breathing heavily.
Ander tries for a takedown but Steven circles away easily
and Steven counters with a nice leg kick.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Steven.
Steven throws a leg kick which misses Ander's front leg but catches the back leg as Ander tries to avoid it.
Steven scores with a jab to the body.
Steven tries a head kick but it misses.
Steven fails in his attempt to clinch.
Steven misses with a double jab.
Ander takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Steven lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Steven scores with a shoulder strike.
Steven with a knee to the head.
Steven lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Steven breaks from the clinch.
Ander is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Steven.
Josu Ander seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A shot to the body from Ander misses
and Steven finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Steven feints and then cracks Ander's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ander down.
Steven scores with a head kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Steven rushes Ander and presses him up against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Steven working Ander over with knees to the body.
Steven lands an elbow inside that Ander shrugs off.
Steven digs a right hand underneath Ander's ribcage. Ander let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Steven lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Steven gets through Ander's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Steven lands an elbow just above Ander 's eye.
Josu Ander's cut is getting worse.
Ander drops down looking for an ankle pick but Steven pulls his leg out and moves away.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Steven.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Steven throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Ander is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Mike Steven!
