Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between DJ Benn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Wotitzky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). DJ Benn looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wotitzky checks a leg kick nicely.
Benn misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wotitzky looks for a takedown but Benn sprawls well.
Benn fails to land with a series of punches.
Benn shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wotitzky but Wotitzky pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Benn fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wotitzky, pushing him back against the ropes.

Wotitzky turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Wotitzky is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Wotitzky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Benn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Benn had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wotitzky is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Benn Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wotitzky's back instead.

Benn is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

What can Wotitzky do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Benn is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Benn gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Benn gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Benn apologises and we restart here on the feet.

DJ Benn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Wotitzky.

That was a close round but I would say that DJ Benn will probably get the nod.

Benn pushes Wotitzky away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Wotitzky gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Benn is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Wotitzky off and has taken his back!

Wotitzky has hold of Benn's leg, trying to break free but it's let Benn lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Wotitzky is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Benn throws him to one side and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate with his fans.
