Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Deacon Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ROY JONES (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Deacon Frost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, ROY JONES!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
JONES shoots in for a takedown but Frost shows good takedown defense.
Deacon Frost seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
JONES decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Frost misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Frost has a hand on JONES's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. JONES takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
JONES can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Frost is looking to escape.
Frost is in all sorts of trouble here.
JONES pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Frost tries to lock up and control but JONES gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

JONES is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
JONES manages to escape and get back to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

JONES is riding his opponent, not letting Frost buck him off.
Frost breaks JONES's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Frost stands up over JONES, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

JONES is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Frost's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Frost's back!
Frost is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if JONES gets his way!
JONES lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

JONES is nestled in close to Frost, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

JONES looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Frost with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Frost stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Frost wants it to stay on the feet.
JONES swats away the attempt to clinch by Frost.
JONES fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

JONES is trying to control Frost's posture but Frost avoids it.
Frost cracks JONES with a big right hand but JONES just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

ROY JONES comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well JONES has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
