Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Corey Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas comes into the arena with Break by Three Days Grace blaring out of the sound system. Blaze has chosen The Roof is on Fire as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Corey Thomas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jake Blaze!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blaze moves into the clinch.
Blaze tries for a takedown. No joy.
Thomas on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Thomas is pressed up against the cage. Blaze has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Thomas down to the mat. Thomas avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Thomas has taken the fight to the clinch.

Thomas breaks from the clinch.
Thomas shoots in for a takedown but Blaze shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Blaze clinches but Thomas breaks the clinch
and Thomas counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Blaze kicks Thomas off and gets back to his feet.
Thomas sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Blaze looks to clinch
and Thomas counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Thomas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Thomas stands up from Blaze's guard - Thomas perhaps looking for a knockout.
Blaze lands the left hand.
Blaze tries for a takedown but Thomas sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Corey Thomas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Blaze.
Blaze tries to keep at a distance but Thomas has taken the fight into the clinch.
Blaze is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Thomas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Thomas circles away from the clinch attempt
and Thomas counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Thomas clinches with his opponent.
Thomas has had enough of the clinch but Blaze keeps him there for the moment.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Thomas managing to block the knees to the body from Blaze.
Thomas gets underhooks to prevent Blaze's takedown attempt.
Blaze tries to land knees in the clinch but Thomas avoids the damage to the body.
Blaze breaks the clinch.
Blaze tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Thomas connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Thomas is looking to clinch.
Blaze wants to clinch
and Thomas counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Blaze keeping moving, preventing Thomas from controlling successfully.
Thomas is breathing heavily.
Blaze wants to stand but Thomas is controlling the position.
Blaze working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Thomas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Thomas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Thomas is sitting in close to Blaze's body. Blaze has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Thomas is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Thomas is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Blaze.
