Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Shears (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sheldon Japa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shears comes to the cage accompanied by Love is in the air. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Shears wants to get back to his feet but Japa is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Japa is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Shears is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Shears has escaped and now he's on top!
Japa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shears doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Japa is tightening it up a little... Shears has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Shears reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Shears taps out! nice BJJ there by Japa!
