Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shin Soo Choo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Burt Reenulds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Shin Soo Choo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Burt Reenulds!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Choo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Reenulds.
Reenulds looks for a takedown but Choo sprawls well.
Choo throws a sloppy head kick and Reenulds moves out of range easily.
Reenulds misses with a double jab.
Choo falls off balance throwing a combination

and Reenulds counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Choo down! Reenulds is looking to finish but Choo is intelligently defending himself.


Choo is rocked!
Reenulds wants to get up but he can't break Choo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Reenulds passes Choo's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Reenulds is pressing down on Choo's thigh, looking to free his foot. Choo is holding on for now.

Reenulds thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Choo's head.

Reenulds seems to be working for a kimura but Choo defends the submission attempt.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Reenulds shoots in looking for a takedown. Choo tries to sprawl out of it but Reenulds keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Choo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Reenulds tries for a takedown but Choo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Choo tries to kick Reenulds off but Reenulds keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Reenulds tries to pass to full mount but Choo defends it.
Reenulds is looking to take a break and control but Choo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Still in half guard, Reenulds seems content to control.

Reenulds stalling away here and it's allowed Choo to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
