Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Shoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leon Barroni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy Shoe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Leon Barroni! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shoe throws a shot to the body.
Shoe lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Leon Barroni has been cut. Jimmy Shoe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shoe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Barroni moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Barroni takes a shot right to the bread basket. Barroni fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Shoe swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Shoe throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Barroni is looking to clinch but Shoe is avoiding it.
Nice uppercut there from Shoe. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Barroni fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Shoe looks to land a combination. Barroni sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Barroni tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shoe paws at him with a jab and circles away. Barroni is trying hard to land a takedown here. Shoe sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Jimmy Shoe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leon Barroni. Shoe misses with a double jab.

Barroni shoots in for a takedown but Shoe shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Shoe tries to bum rush Barroni with a series of wild strikes but Barroni uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Barroni shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shoe sprawls well. Shoe wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Barroni gets slowly back to his feet. Barroni looks gassed! Barroni dives in and grabs Shoe's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shoe pushes down on Barroni's head and hops out. Shoe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Shoe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Barroni moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Shoe scores with a one two! Barroni had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Shoe scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Barroni is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Shoe. Shoe throws out a loose jab but Barroni uses good head movement to avoid it. Shoe misses with a double jab.
Jimmy Shoe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Shoe lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Barroni darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Shoe manages to escape and get back to his feet! Shoe moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shoe bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Shoe misses with a wild combination.
Shoe tries to bum rush Barroni with a series of wild strikes but Barroni uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Shoe throws a right and a left that both miss. Shoe throws a right and a left that Barroni avoids nicely. Barroni tries for a takedown but Shoe sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Shoe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Barroni moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Barroni closes the distance and clinches up with Shoe, looking for a takedown. Barroni pushes Shoe against the cage but Shoe circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Barroni closes this distance looking for a takedown but Shoe circles away. Shoe ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Barroni moves away. Shoe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Shoe misses with a straight left. Shoe fails to land with a series of punches.
Barroni fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Shoe gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Barroni to score an easy takedown into full guard. Barroni trying to control the position from guard on top but Shoe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Shoe wants to stand but Barroni is controlling the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shoe stuffs the takedown attempt from Barroni. Barroni gets slowly back to his feet. Shoe throws a jab when Barroni was well out of range. Shoe tries to bum rush Barroni with a series of wild strikes but Barroni uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Shoe throws a series of punches but Barroni avoids them all with ease. Jimmy Shoe is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Shoe stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shoe wants it to stay on the feet. Shoe looks to land a combination but Barroni avoids it well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No joy there for Shoe, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Barroni shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Shoe manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Barroni pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Shoe is keeping the position for now. Barroni is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Shoe keeping moving, preventing Barroni from controlling successfully. Shoe wriggles free and stands up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barroni shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shoe pinned against the cage. Shoe gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Shoe stuffs the takedown attempt from Barroni. Barroni gets slowly back to his feet. Shoe lands a jab to the head.
Shoe looks to land a combination but Barroni avoids it well. Barroni drives through with a takedown into guard. Shoe kicks Barroni off and gets to his feet. Barroni tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shoe sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Barroni somewhat. Shoe lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barroni shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Shoe manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Shoe wants to get back to his feet but Barroni is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Barroni drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Barroni jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Shoe is looking to stand up but Barroni isn't so interested in that idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barroni passes Shoe's left leg - he's now in half guard. Shoe is trying to stand up here but Barroni is controlling him well. Barroni is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Shoe is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
