Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between steven maxwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Geddes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for steven maxwell has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
maxwell tries to clinch but Geddes is having none of it.
David Geddes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
maxwell has taken the fight to the clinch.

maxwell throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Geddes blocks it with crossed arms.

Geddes shoots in for a double leg but maxwell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Geddes.
Geddes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. maxwell tries to avoid it but Geddes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag maxwell to the ground. maxwell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to steven maxwell.
I think Geddes has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
