Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Krendal Svorak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Robin Padilla! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Padilla tries to land a front kick but Svorak steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Padilla dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Svorak. That did some damage! Svorak shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Svorak showed some decent athleticism there. Svorak with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Padilla scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Svorak manages to mount him!
Svorak will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Padilla wants to hold on but Svorak pushes him away. Svorak can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Padilla is looking to escape. Padilla is trying to escape the mount.
Padilla tries to hold on but Svorak pushes him away. Padilla might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Svorak kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Padilla is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Svorak gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Robin Padilla is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Svorak shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Padilla as he jumps to the side. Padilla stuffs the takedown attempt from Svorak. Svorak gets slowly back to his feet. Svorak really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Some wild striking there from Padilla.
Svorak shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Padilla's guard. Padilla is pulling down on Svorak's head. It's preventing any offense from Svorak, at least for the moment. Svorak tries to free his leg and advance position but Padilla is retaining full guard. Svorak is breathing heavily. Svorak controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Padilla wants to hit a switch here but Svorak passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Padilla there! Svorak is working for a guillotine from mount but Padilla frees his head quite easily.
Padilla tries to hold on but Svorak pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Padilla is looking to get to half guard. Svorak is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Padilla is in real trouble.
Padilla wants to control his opponent's hands but Svorak gets his hands free. Padilla tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Padilla tries to hold on but Svorak pushes him away. Padilla tries to get back to half guard but can't. Padilla tries to hold on but Svorak postures up. Padilla is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Svorak controlling the pace for now. Padilla is trying to stand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Svorak avoids the attempt from Padilla to control. Padilla really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Padilla wants to hold on but Svorak pushes him away. Padilla trying desperately to get to his feet.
Padilla tries to lock up and control but Svorak gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Despite being in the dominant position, Robin Padilla just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Padilla pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Padilla lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Krendal Svorak has been cut. Svorak sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Excellent takedown into side control there by Svorak. Svorak wants to control but Padilla is keeping him busy. Svorak tries for a kimura but Padilla is defending well. Svorak is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Padilla has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Padilla prevents Svorak from moving into mount. Padilla tries to improve position but can't. Svorak decides to stand back up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Svorak. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Krendal Svorak. That's going to take a lot out of him. Padilla misses with a kick to the body.
Padilla fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Padilla wants to slow Svorak down by chopping away at his legs. Padilla throws a push kick but Svorak slaps the foot to one side. Svorak changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Padilla tries to avoid it but Svorak manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Padilla to the ground. Padilla escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Padilla chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Padilla tries a head kick but it misses.
Padilla gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Padilla pulls Svorak in close to prevent any damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Padilla not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Padilla throws a sloppy head kick and Svorak moves out of range easily. Padilla throws the kick towards the body but Svorak avoids it. Padilla looks to land a body kick but Svorak moved away. Padilla misses with a looping right. Padilla looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Svorak changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Padilla tries to avoid it but Svorak manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Padilla to the ground. Padilla escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Padilla throws a series of punches but Svorak moves out of range. Svorak ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Padilla moves away. Padilla does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Padilla misses with a kick to the body.
Padilla throws a push kick but Svorak slaps the foot to one side. Svorak closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Padilla to the mat! Padilla manages to get full guard. Padilla keeping moving, preventing Svorak from controlling successfully. Svorak gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Svorak fails to land the takedown. Padilla pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Svorak looks for a takedown but Padilla sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Krendal Svorak. That's going to take a lot out of him. Svorak misses with a body kick. Padilla lands a jab to the head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Svorak drives through with a takedown into guard. Padilla throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Svorak is pushing down on Padilla's leg trying to pass to half guard. Padilla is fighting to maintain full guard but Svorak has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's one minute gone in the round. Padilla has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Svorak is working away from the top position though. Padilla is defending against the submission attempts here by Svorak.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Svorak moves into full mount! Padilla won't be happy about that! Padilla is trying desperately to improve position. Svorak is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Padilla tries to keep at a distance but Svorak has taken the fight into the clinch. Padilla wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Svorak has him pressed against the cage. Padilla tries to break the clinch but Svorak is controlling the position. Padilla wants to get back to striking at distance but Svorak won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Svorak has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Padilla is in real trouble here. Svorak gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Padilla is tapping out! Svorak wins by rear naked choke!
