The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vocaturo is looking to clinch but Ceasar is avoiding it.
Ceasar slaps away a takedown attempt from Vocaturo, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Ceasar shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ceasar swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Vocaturo is now in Ceasar's guard. A big mistake from Ceasar there, giving up the dominant position!

Ceasar is working an open guard so Vocaturo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Ceasar counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Vocaturo!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jordan Vocaturo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ceasar manages to capitalize on a mistake by Vocaturo to take his back!
Vocaturo is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Ceasar.

Vocaturo has his takedown stuffed

and Ceasar counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vocaturo is on top in guard.
Vocaturo stands and throws Ceasar's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Vocaturo postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ceasar looks a forlorn figure.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ceasar tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ceasar is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Vocaturo is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ceasar can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Vocaturo tries to control but Ceasar wriggling away.
Ceasar is just holding on here. Vocaturo manages to take his back.

Vocaturo lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Vocaturo.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ceasar tries to break free.
Can Ceasar hold on?! Vocaturo is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Ceasar is in bad spot here.
Vocaturo lands punches and elbows.

Vocaturo is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Ceasar has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Jordan Vocaturo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Augustus Ceasar is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Vocaturo is trying to stick to Ceasar's back but Ceasar is turning into Vocaturo. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Vocaturo's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Ceasar.
