Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Forrest Griffin!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weston wants to clinch.
Weston connects with a body shot.
Weston scores with a one two! Griffin had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Griffin moves in looking to clinch but Weston pushes him off.
Griffin is trying hard to land a takedown here. Weston sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Griffin pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Weston drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Weston tries to stand but Griffin is controlling from the bottom.

Weston closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Griffin did well to prevent Weston getting side control.

Weston decides to stand back up. Weston steps back and let's Griffin get back to his feet.

Weston shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Griffin manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Griffin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Weston defends it easily.

Weston seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Weston shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Griffin napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Weston manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Griffin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Weston looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Weston looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Weston!

and Weston counters by clinching up.

Weston tightens his grip and picks Griffin up, before dumping him to the ground. Griffin manages to land in guard.
Griffin can't keep his opponent in guard - Weston advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Forrest Griffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Weston fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Griffin sprawls well initially but Weston persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Weston is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Griffin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Weston has Griffin pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Weston pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Griffin tumbling to the mat - Weston dives into Griffin's guard.
