Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ichiro Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Del Homosapien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Spartan X. Homosapien has chosen Buju Banton - Not An Easy Road as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Ichiro Chan has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ichiro Chan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Del Homosapien! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Homosapien shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Chan is staying active underneath Homosapien, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Homosapien not landing any meaningful shots this time. Chan pushes Homosapien off looking to stand but Homosapien dives back in and keeps control.
Homosapien is looking for a kimura here.
Homosapien has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Homosapien is working for a kimura but Chan is defending it quite comfortably.
Homosapien is working for a submission of some sort.
That's one minute gone in the round. Homosapien wants to pass to mount but Chan is defending the position. Homosapien wants to work for an arm triangle but Chan is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Homosapien is trying to control the action in half guard but Chan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Chan avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Homosapien.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Homosapien is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Homosapien is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Chan sees it coming and defends easily. Homosapien wants to advance to full mount but Chan doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Homosapien trying to control but Chan is working from the bottom. Chan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Homosapien is aware though and is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Homosapien doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Homosapien manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Homosapien's corner is telling him to maintain position. Homosapien trying to control but Chan is working from the bottom. Homosapien is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Chan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Chan has escaped and now he's on top! Homosapien trying to keep a closed guard but Chan is proving a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Homosapien wants to sweep here but Chan controlling him for the moment. Homosapien doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Del Homosapien dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Homosapien misses with a few strikes there.
Chan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Chan leaves Homosapien with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Homosapien shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Chan pinned against the cage. Chan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ichiro Chan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Homosapien misses with a wild combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Homosapien shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Chan manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Homosapien pushing down on Chan's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Chan kicks off Homosapien and gets to his feet. Homosapien shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Homosapien maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Chan could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Homosapien has cracked it and Chan is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Homosapien!
