0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, maza rumputuli! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Reed Andrews and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kharkov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kharkov swats away the attempt to clinch by rumputuli. Kharkov keeps the fight on the outside. Kharkov is looking to take this fight into the clinch. rumputuli wants to clinch up but Kharkov keeps it at a distance. rumputuli rushes Kharkov and presses him up against the cage. Kharkov tries to pull guard but rumputuli holds him up against the cage and eventually Kharkov drops back down to his feet.
rumputuli tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kharkov's elbow. Kharkov tries to pull guard but rumputuli won't allow it.

Despite being in the dominant position, maza rumputuli just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Kharkov tries to reverse the position but rumputuli maintains control. rumputuli tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Kharkov is wriggling around trying to escape.

Kharkov says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. rumputuli's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. That could mean trouble for rumputuli! Kharkov moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, rumputuli has worked his arm free - good work by rumputuli!
Kharkov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kharkov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kharkov thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
maza rumputuli showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. rumputuli wants to get up but he can't break Kharkov's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Kharkov keeping full guard, as rumputuli tries to pass. rumputuli content to stall in guard here. maza rumputuli is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

He's managed to get a loose triangle. rumputuli doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. rumputuli manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. rumputuli stands and throws Kharkov's legs to the side, diving into side control. rumputuli is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Let's hope that rumputuli has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Kharkov is looking for a sweep.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kharkov sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Kharkov looking for submissions off his back. Kharkov looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Ivan Kharkov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! And that's the end of the fight! Ivan Kharkov showed his dominance in that final round. Well rumputuli has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
