Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yannick Riesling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Neilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Neilson's choice of entrance music: Who Run This- 50 cent. Kevin Neilson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Yannick Riesling! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Neilson! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Neilson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Riesling postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Neilson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Riesling manages to get himself to full guard.

Neilson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Riesling has his foot on Neilson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Neilson works his way back into a safe position though. Neilson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Riesling has control of Neilson's left arm, preventing Neilson from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Neilson looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riesling utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Neilson stopping the sweep attempt from Riesling. Neilson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Neilson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Riesling slips a jab from Neilson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Riesling doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Riesling showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Neilson.
Neilson scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Neilson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Neilson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Riesling.

Riesling tries for a takedown but Neilson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Neilson lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Neilson connects with a looping right hand.
Neilson misses the jab. Neilson with a body punch. A glancing blow. Riesling is breathing heavily. Neilson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Riesling looks to throw the jab but Neilson is out of range. Neilson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Neilson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Riesling. Neilson jabs Riesling right on the nose. Riesling blinks but takes it well. A nice combination there by Neilson.

Riesling takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. A combination from Neilson does no damage. Riesling fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yannick Riesling. That's going to take a lot out of him. Neilson throws a shot to the body.
Riesling takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kevin Neilson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A slow jab from Neilson misses its intended target. A decent looking cross lands there for Neilson. Nice uppercut there from Neilson. Neilson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Riesling had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Neilson scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. This has been an exciting period of action! Neilson lands with a nice body punch. Neilson drops Riesling with a beautiful combination! Riesling stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Neilson is looking for the KO!
Riesling is rocked! Neilson has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Neilson grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Riesling takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Neilson cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
