Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between pual dfgh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Pierce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). dfgh has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. The key to victory for pual dfgh has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Pierce looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Pierce has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Pierce there as he acknowledges the shot.
Nice sprawl there from dfgh as Pierce shoots in.

and dfgh counters with a low kick, right behind Pierce 's knee.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
dfgh has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pierce is working away from the top position though.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Pierce tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but dfgh paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pierce throws a sloppy head kick and dfgh moves out of range easily.
Pierce changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. dfgh tries to avoid it but Pierce manages to keep hold of a leg and drag dfgh to the ground. dfgh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

dfgh tries to bum rush Pierce with a series of wild strikes but Pierce uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Pierce really doesn't want to stay on the ground with dfgh. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That was a close round but I would say that pual dfgh will probably get the nod.
