Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Energizer Bunny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Howell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Josh Howell has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Energizer Bunny's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Energizer Bunny! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Josh Howell! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bunny shoots in for a double leg but Howell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Bunny fails to land the takedown. Bunny shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Howell as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Energizer Bunny. That's going to take a lot out of him. Howell stuffs the takedown attempt from Bunny. Bunny gets slowly back to his feet. Howell throws a combination. Bunny tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
It looks like Energizer Bunny has been cut. Howell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bunny. Bunny stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Howell. Bunny shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Howell as he jumps to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bunny tries for a takedown but Howell sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Crunch! Howell slams his shin into Bunny's torso. Bunny is breathing heavily. Bunny throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Howell sees it coming and avoids it easily. Bunny takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Good leg kick by Howell there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Howell buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Howell scores with a nice head shot. This has been an exciting period of action! Howell lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Howell moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Howell lands a jab-cross combination. Bunny avoids the head kick by Howell.
Howell looks to land a combination but Bunny avoids it well. Howell has closed the distance and engaged Bunny in a clinch.
Howell successfully pulls guard.
Howell is pulling down on Bunny's head to control his posture. Howell has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Bunny off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Some wild striking there from Howell.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bunny takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Bunny tries to clinch but fails miserably and Howell holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Howell connects with a knee to the head.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Bunny. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Howell has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Bunny is trying to keep an underhook but Howell manages to get the takedown into half guard. Bunny wants to get back to his feet.
Howell decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Howell lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bunny's sensitive parts. Bunny darts in trying to clinch and Howell counters with a big head kick but Bunny shrugs it off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Howell scores with a head kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Howell clinches up with Bunny and pushes him back against the cage. Howell ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Howell no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Howell keeping full guard, as Bunny tries to pass. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bunny drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Howell dives on top into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Howell dominated that round. The cut man is working on Energizer Bunny's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Bunny takes one on the button. Bunny throws a lazy head kick and Howell makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Howell rushes Bunny and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Bunny has Howell pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Howell manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Bunny has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Howell avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Howell lands a nice elbow. Howell tightens his grip and picks Bunny up, before dumping him to the ground. Bunny manages to land in guard. Howell must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bunny wants to sweep but no luck. Howell wants to pass the guard but Bunny is keeping the position. Bunny is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Howell trying to control but Bunny is working from the bottom.

Howell is stalling in the full guard. Bunny keeping full guard, as Howell tries to pass. Bunny looking for a sweep. Not yet Bunny, not yet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A low kick from Bunny misses and Howell counters with a lovely shot to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Howell throws a series of strikes that have Bunny backpedaling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Howell lands with a shot to the body. Bunny shoots and misses and Howell holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Energizer Bunny. That's going to take a lot out of him. Howell is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Howell lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Bunny backwards. Howell jumps guard.
Bunny is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Howell is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Howell has escaped and now he's on top! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Howell showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Howell gets to his feet - Bunny follows without any prompting. Josh Howell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. No joy there for Howell, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Howell throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Bunny. Howell feints and then cracks Bunny's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bunny down. Howell digs a good body shot into Bunny's ribs. Bunny on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Howell goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Howell circles away from the clinch attempt and Howell counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Howell has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Bunny stopping the sweep attempt from Howell. Howell has control of Bunny's left arm, preventing Bunny from doing any damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bunny trying to control the position from guard on top but Howell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Howell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Energizer Bunny's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Howell cracks the inside of Bunny's front leg. Howell turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Howell lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Howell darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Howell fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bunny, pushing him back against the cage. Howell wants the takedown. Bunny is fighting it off but Howell persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Bunny's guard against the cage. Howell stays in close to Bunny's body and controls the position. Bunny wants to sweep but no luck. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Howell trying to control but Bunny is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Howell stopping the sweep attempt from Bunny. Howell landing with the ground and pound. Howell is stalling in the full guard. Bunny working a defensive guard here.
Howell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bunny swivels though and keeps the full guard. Energizer Bunny has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bunny had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Howell defends it easily. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Howell. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Howell stands up from Bunny's guard - Howell perhaps looking for a knockout. Howell moves into range and clinches up with Bunny. Howell breaks from the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Howell clinches up against the cage. Bunny is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Howell pulls him back up using the underhooks. Howell has clasped his hands together around Bunny's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Howell decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bunny to his feet. Howell scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bunny doesn't seem bothered though. A punch lands to the side of Bunny 's head but he takes it in his stride. Howell fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Howell changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Josh Howell seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bunny throws a lazy head kick and Howell counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Howell.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Howell successfully pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bunny stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Howell swivels though and keeps the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Howell lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bunny! Howell controlling from the full mount. Josh Howell has got the better of the ground game so far. Howell can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bunny is looking to escape. Josh Howell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bunny is desperately trying to improve his position but Howell has a good base and remains in mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Josh Howell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Howell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
