Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evangelista Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jayson Stuart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Cyborg - The Killing Machine. The crowd seem to be enjoying Stuart's choice of entrance music: "Go Getta" - Young Jeezy. Evangelista Santos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jayson Stuart!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Santos rushes Stuart and presses him up against the cage.
Santos wants a takedown but no success here.
Santos jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Stuart walks away with a smile on his face. Santos gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Santos tries to clinch but Stuart moves out of range.

and Santos holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Santos manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Santos wants to get back to his feet but Stuart is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Stuart thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Stuart decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Santos wants to control from the top but Stuart keeps moving.
Santos has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Stuart is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Santos slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Stuart tries to buck Santos off but Santos is having none of it.
Santos tries to score with some ground and pound. Stuart controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Stuart tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Santos wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The fight stays on the outside here - Stuart looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Santos tries to keep at a distance but Stuart has taken the fight into the clinch.

Stuart drops down looking for an ankle pick but Santos pulls his leg out and moves away.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Stuart is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Santos defends well.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jayson Stuart will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Santos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stuart has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Santos has managed to get both his arms back between Stuart's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Stuart closes the distance but Santos moves to the side
and Santos counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Stuart escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Santos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
