Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Gold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BUZZ SHAW (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gold comes to the cage accompanied by Drop The World. SHAW has chosen INSANE IN THE MEBRAIN as his entrance music. BUZZ SHAW has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Gold!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, BUZZ SHAW!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
SHAW shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gold as he jumps to the side.
SHAW feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Gold escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. SHAW gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Gold is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
SHAW would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Gold escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. SHAW gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
SHAW wanted to stand there but Gold had control of the position.
SHAW is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Gold tries to land a sweep but no joy.
SHAW advances position into side control!
SHAW trying to control the position but Gold is working away.
SHAW working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gold tries to bench press SHAW off him but SHAW keeps the position.
SHAW decides to stand up, so the ref orders Gold to his feet.
Gold tries to clinch but SHAW is having none of it.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Gold misses with a two punch combination.
Gold dances in with a quick combination. SHAW is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Gold snaps SHAW's head back. SHAW stumbles backwards against the cage. Gold steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with SHAW's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. SHAW just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mike Gold!
