Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richard King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rashad Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Richard King! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rashad Evans! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Reed Andrews and Joseph Jones.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans gets a takedown into half guard. Evans controlling the action here. King controlling the position for now. It looks like Evans is going to stand back up.
King is looking to control Evans's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can King avoid being mounted? Evans seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but King does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. King trying to control here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's one minute gone in the round. King is trying to stand.
King wants to control but Evans is keeping busy.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. No luck for Evans with that takedown attempt. King gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
so Evans counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Evans sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed King's guard. Evans is looking to take a break and control but King is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Still in half guard, Evans seems content to control. King is not content to let Evans control the position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. King tries to get to full guard but Evans has control of the leg. King trying to hold on to Evans's head to control him but Evans postures up.
King is trying to get back to full guard. Evans seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but King does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Evans is working for a submission of some sort.
 Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Evans darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Evans looks gassed!
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Evans wants to pass to mount but King is defending the position. King controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Evans stalling.
King is defending against the submission attempts here by Evans.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Evans stalling away here and it's allowed King to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Evans wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.
Evans is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! King is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! King has escaped and now he's on top! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rashad Evans dominated that round. That's time! King's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Evans counters by moving into the clinch. Evans jumps guard but King stands there with Evans around his waist. Evans gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Evans wants to break free but King has control.
King breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. King fails in his attempt to clinch. Evans wants to clinch up but King keeps it at a distance. King stuns Evans with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. King showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Evans.
King looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Evans! Evans really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Evans is breathing heavily.
 That's one minute gone in the round. King controlling the pace for now. Evans wants to control but King is having none of it. King lands a big elbow. King is in the full mount, landing strikes. Evans is trying to reverse the position but instead King has taken his back - oops! I really don't envy Evans right now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Evans just trying to survive but King is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. King really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Evans. King is punishing Evans with strikes - can he finish him?! Evans is trying to stand back up. Evans tries to escape the position.
King looking to hold on to the position here but Evans rolls and ends up regaining guard.
King will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. King looking to sit in guard and control but Evans gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Evans stays in close to King's body and controls the position. Evans sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed King's guard.  That's four minutes gone in the round. Evans wants to control from the top but King keeps moving. Evans is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. King pulls Evans in close to prevent any damage. Evans tries to free his leg and advance position but King is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Richard King dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Evans shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. King manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Evans wants to control from the top but King keeps moving. King pulls Evans in close to prevent any damage. King not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rashad Evans has got the better of the ground game so far. King is pulling down on Evans's head. It's preventing any offense from Evans, at least for the moment. Evans looking to pass the guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
 That's one minute gone in the round. King keeping moving, preventing Evans from controlling successfully. Evans missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. King utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
 It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Evans throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. King doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Evans counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Evans gets to his feet - King follows without any prompting.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Evans throws a head kick that half lands.
Evans misses with a takedown attempt
and King counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! King is trying to control. Evans wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Evans is trying to stand.

Evans kicks off King and gets to his feet. Evans doesn't manage to clinch there - King circles away.
King drives through and clinches with Evans against the cage.
Evans drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

King fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richard King. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Evans pulls guard effortlessly.

Evans has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but King can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. King really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Evans working a defensive guard here.
