Dos Santos comes to the cage accompanied by I get knocked down. Junior Dos Santos has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Junior Dos Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Frank Costello! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circling - Costello throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Dos Santos slips a straight right by Costello. Excellent takedown into side control there by Dos Santos. Dos Santos trying to control the position but Costello is working away. Costello wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Dos Santos fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Costello dodges the ground and pound from Dos Santos. Dos Santos is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Costello knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Dos Santos tries to score with some ground and pound. Costello controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dos Santos tries to move to mount but Costello blocks the move with his legs. Dos Santos is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Costello is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Dos Santos decides to take the fight back to the feet. Frank Costello is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Dos Santos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Costello lands a nice looking body shot.
Dos Santos shoots in but Costello avoids the takedown attempt easily. Dos Santos dodges the punch combination from Costello.

Costello throws a body punch but Dos Santos moves out of range. A nice combination there by Costello.
Dos Santos shoots in for a takedown but Costello shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Junior Dos Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Costello swinging wilding here.
Costello tests Dos Santos's chin there with a solid looking shot. Costello should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dos Santos closes the distance and clinches. Dos Santos tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Costello smiles and moves away.
Dos Santos avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dos Santos takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Costello misses with a jab, cross combination.
Costello cracks Dos Santos with a right hand to the side of the head. Dos Santos takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Costello throws a right and a left that Dos Santos avoids nicely. A combination from Costello does no damage. Costello throws a nice looking combination but Dos Santos bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Costello throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Costello looks gassed! Excellent takedown into side control there by Dos Santos. Dos Santos wants to control but Costello is keeping him busy. Dos Santos thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Dos Santos decides to take the fight back to the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Junior Dos Santos dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
A combination from Costello does no damage. Costello fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dos Santos moves out of range as Costello strikes. Frank Costello seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Costello tries to bum rush Dos Santos with a series of wild strikes but Dos Santos uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Dos Santos dodges the punch combination from Costello.
Dos Santos shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Dos Santos seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Costello is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
