The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blinn tries to bum rush Rudensky with a series of wild strikes but Rudensky uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Blinn tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Blinn throws an overhand right that lands on Rudensky's shoulder, as Rudensky tries to avoid the shot.

Blinn instigates a clinch.
Blinn tries to break the clinch but Rudensky is controlling the position.

Blinn breaks from the clinch.

Blinn gets the takedown into side control.
Rudensky is looking for a sweep.
Rudensky can't do much from the bottom here.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rudensky accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
