Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maek Houzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yataki Tumbi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houzo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tumbi swivels and escapes.

Houzo throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Tumbi counters with a nice low kick that buckles Houzo's knee momentarily.
Houzo avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
The fight stays on the outside here - Houzo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tumbi tries a low kick but Houzo avoids it.
Houzo takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Houzo moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Tumbi has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Houzo is proving hard to escape from.

Houzo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tumbi's guard.

Houzo drops back looking for a leg! Tumbi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tumbi manages to kick Houzo off! Houzo jumps back into Tumbi's guard.
Houzo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's time! Houzo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Houzo swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Tumbi is now in Houzo's guard. A big mistake from Houzo there, giving up the dominant position!

Houzo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Tumbi can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Yataki Tumbi's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Yataki Tumbi's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
