Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Micozzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Bailey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob Bailey is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrew Micozzi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Bob Bailey! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Micozzi. No joy for Bailey on that attempt. Bailey shoots for a takedown but Micozzi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Bailey shoots in for a takedown but Micozzi shows good takedown defense. Andrew Micozzi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Bailey. Micozzi darts in and clinches Bailey up against the cage. Micozzi gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Bailey regains guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Micozzi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Bailey avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bailey looking to control.
Micozzi trying to control the position from guard on top but Bailey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bailey being controlled here, momentarily. Bailey looking to hit a scissor sweep but Micozzi is one step ahead there. Micozzi content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bailey wants to sweep but no luck. Bailey pulls Micozzi in to control the position. Micozzi throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Micozzi throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bailey works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Micozzi distracts Bailey with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Bailey looking to hit a scissor sweep but Micozzi is one step ahead there. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bailey can do anything to dispel that myth. Micozzi landing with the ground and pound. Bailey avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bailey trying to keep a closed guard but Micozzi is proving a slippery customer.
Micozzi throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Micozzi stopping the sweep attempt from Bailey. Micozzi in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Micozzi lands a couple of digs. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Bailey preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Micozzi landing some decent shots from guard. Bailey has Micozzi pulled in close to control his posture. Bailey not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Micozzi wants to control from the top but Bailey keeps moving. Bailey bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Micozzi's guard. Bailey avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Micozzi looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Bailey passes into side control.
Bailey slows the pace down.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bailey trying to control the action but Micozzi is working from the bottom. Bailey is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Micozzi regains half guard. Bailey controlling the action here. Micozzi punching from the bottom.
Micozzi wants to control but Bailey is keeping busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bailey sitting and controlling from the half guard. Micozzi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bailey pulls his head out easily. Micozzi moves into full guard.
Bailey stays in close to Micozzi's body and controls the position. Bailey stands up over Micozzi, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Micozzi looking for a guillotine here but Bailey defends easily.
Bailey trying to control the position from guard on top but Micozzi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Micozzi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Despite being in the dominant position, Bob Bailey just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bailey fails with the takedown. Micozzi scores with a nice head shot. Bailey bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Bailey looks gassed! Micozzi manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Micozzi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Micozzi trying to control from the bottom.
The fighters are battling for position here. Micozzi manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Bailey looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Bailey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Micozzi swivels though and keeps the full guard. Micozzi keeping moving, preventing Bailey from controlling successfully. Bailey is sitting in close to Micozzi's body. Micozzi has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Bailey is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Bailey is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Micozzi.
