Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dolores Haze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haze comes to the cage accompanied by Moi Lolita by Alizee. Peterson has chosen Diamond as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Victor Peterson enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dolores Haze!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Victor Peterson!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Chad Campbell and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson throws a series of punches but Haze moves out of range.
Haze looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Peterson is fending him off so far but Haze persists. Nope, Peterson circles away and we're back to standing.
Haze closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Haze steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Peterson.

Haze shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Peterson napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Haze looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Peterson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Haze fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Peterson avoids it really well and circles away.

Haze decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Haze drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Peterson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Haze has Peterson in his guard.

Peterson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Haze is just riding it out for now. Peterson eventually gives up the hold.

That was a close round but I would say that Dolores Haze will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Peterson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Haze to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Haze shrugs it off.

Haze tries to score a power double leg takedown but Peterson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Haze somewhat.

Haze drops back, looking for a kneebar! Peterson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Peterson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Peterson!

Peterson goes for an armbar but Haze turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Haze.

I would just about give that final round to Victor Peterson.
Well Peterson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
