Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stuvasz Zubaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Lock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zubaz comes to the cage accompanied by Leonard Cohen's Take This Waltz. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Stuvasz Zubaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Lock! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Zubaz does no damage. Zubaz swinging wilding here.
Zubaz throws a right hand that Lock ducks under and follows up with a left that Lock also avoids with ease. Zubaz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Lock shoots in and bounces Zubaz off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Zubaz tries to land a sweep but no joy. Lock scoring with punches to the head and body. Lock trying to control but Zubaz is working from the bottom. Lock advances to half guard. Zubaz tries to roll over but Lock keeps him under control. Zubaz flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Lock takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Lock is trying to control the action in half guard but Zubaz is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Lock stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Zubaz to get to his feet. Zubaz throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lock.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lock looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Lock lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zubaz trying to get back to full guard but Lock takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Zubaz is breathing heavily. Zubaz tries to get back to half guard but can't. Zubaz is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Lock tries to control but Zubaz wriggling away. Lock lands a big elbow. Zubaz wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Zubaz is trying to break free.

Zubaz holding both Lock 's hands and preventing any damage. Zubaz grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Zubaz controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Zubaz is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Zubaz trying to get back to his feet but Lock is in full control for now. Lock is looking to control Zubaz but Zubaz is wriggling around and keeping busy. Zubaz holding both Lock 's hands and preventing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lock trying to control. Zubaz manages to reverse the position and now he's in Lock's guard. Nice work there by Zubaz.
Zubaz wants to stand but Lock is controlling his posture from full guard. Zubaz could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Zubaz working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Lock looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Zubaz stands and throws Lock's legs to the side, diving into side control. Lock gets back to half guard. Zubaz throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Lock manages to escape and get back to his feet! Lock shoots for a takedown but Zubaz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lock drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Lock wants to control from the top but Zubaz keeps moving. Lock stands up from guard. Let's bang! Lock closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Zubaz on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Zubaz tries to get out of the position. Lock wants to control but Zubaz is keeping him busy. Lock working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Zubaz tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lock wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Zubaz is not content to let Lock control the position. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Lock showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Zubaz.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Lock dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Lock looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Lock is rocked! Zubaz gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily so Lock counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Lock trying to control the position from guard on top but Zubaz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lock might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Zubaz kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Zubaz controls Lock momentarily but Lock frees himself. Lock tries to free his leg and advance position but Zubaz is retaining full guard. Zubaz doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Zubaz wants to stand and escape but Lock is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zubaz scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Lock closes the distance and clinches up with Zubaz, looking for a takedown. Lock pushes Zubaz against the cage but Zubaz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Zubaz throws a lazy head kick and Lock counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Lock throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zubaz's waist but Zubaz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lock off to one side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lock gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Zubaz counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Stuvasz Zubaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Lock. Lock wants to control but Zubaz is keeping busy and won't allow it. Lock manages to get to full guard.
Zubaz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Lock looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Zubaz tries to free his leg and advance position but Lock is retaining full guard. Zubaz is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Lock looking to control.
Zubaz postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Zubaz wanted to stand there but Lock had control of the position. Zubaz cracks Lock with a solid left hand. Lock throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Zubaz tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Lock is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Zubaz's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Zubaz's back! Zubaz showing good submission defense here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Zubaz is trying to get back to his feet but Lock has full control of the position and if anything, Zubaz has just worked his way into a worse spot. Zubaz wants to escape the position.

Lock slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Lock lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

John Lock showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Lock has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lock working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Zubaz is desperately trying to improve his position but Lock has a good base and remains in mount. Lock is standing up, even though he is in mount. Lock closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Zubaz defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Lock lands a nice shot to the head. Zubaz gets back to half guard. Zubaz regains full guard. Nicely done. Zubaz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lock! Lock taking shots to the head. Zubaz breaks from Lock's wrist control and lands an elbow. Lock is still in real trouble! Can Zubaz finish him? Zubaz postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lock looks a forlorn figure.
Lock wants to control but Zubaz is having none of it. Lock regains half guard. Lock blocking the ground and pound attempt from Zubaz. Zubaz is nestled in close to Lock, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Lock manages to escape and get back to his feet! Lock seems to have recovered his senses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! A punch combination from Zubaz misses. Lock bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Zubaz misses with the combination.
Lock shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lock showed some decent athleticism there. Zubaz tries to kick Lock off but Lock keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Lock is taking a breather. Zubaz says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Lock stands up and beckons Zubaz to join him on the feet. Zubaz throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lock. Lock throws a quick inside leg kick. A solid leg kick lands there for Lock.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A combination from Zubaz does no damage. Zubaz takes a jab right on the kisser.
Lock decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Lock is looking for a kimura but Zubaz is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lock to get the leverage. Zubaz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Zubaz is staying active underneath Lock, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Lock wants to pass the guard but Zubaz is defending well. Lock prevents Zubaz from standing back up.
Lock gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Stuvasz Zubaz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lock scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Zubaz is not content to let Lock control the position. Lock taking a breather here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lock working away. Zubaz tries to get back to half guard but can't. Zubaz is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lock has just dragged him back down to the mat.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Lock clinches. Zubaz manages to break the clinch.
Zubaz scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Stuvasz Zubaz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Zubaz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Zubaz dodges the punch combination from Lock.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Zubaz throws a combination that misses and Lock counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Zubaz wants to get back to his feet but Lock is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Lock advances position into side control!
And that's the end of the fight! John Lock comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Lock winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
