Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Wade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei East (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, James Wade! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrei East! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wade throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around East's waist but East gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wade off to one side. East feints and as Wade raises his hands in defense, East changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Wade really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. East with a nice head shot there. Wade is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. East slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Wade takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Wade throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. East controls the position from side control. Wade takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. East is working Wade over with some ground and pound from side control. East avoids the strikes from the bottom by Wade. East controlling from side mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Let's hope that East has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. East in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. East controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wade is not content to let East control the position. Wade strikes from the bottom but East takes advantage and advances to full mount! Wade keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. East tries to control but Wade wriggling away. Wade tries to get back to half guard but can't. Wade knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for East on the ground. East tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. East lands a heavy elbow. East sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. East with shots to the head and body - Wade looks very uncomfortable down there. East has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. East looking to finish Wade with some ground and pound. This is bad for Wade! BOOM! East connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee warns Wade that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. East lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
East looking to control but Wade is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Wade is trying desperately to improve position. Wade flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

East controlling the pace for now. I looks like East might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. East punishing his opponent with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. East looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. East sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Wade flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Wade throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. East breaks from Wade's wrist control and lands an elbow. Wade swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. East prevents Wade from getting the reversal. East scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Wade?

Andrei East dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Wade fails with the takedown and East counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. East wants to control from the top but Wade keeps moving. East slips nicely into half guard. East sitting and controlling from the half guard. East passes to full mount! East sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Andrei East has got the better of the ground game so far. East trying to control but he's not successful this time. Wade on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wade tries to get out of the position.

Despite being in the dominant position, Andrei East just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wade with a poor takedown and East decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wade's guard. Wade punching from the bottom - just letting East know he's still in a fight. East is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Wade trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Wade will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

East is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. East is working Wade over from the guard. Well, if East is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
East has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Wade defend it? East steps over the head and cranks it - Wade is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for East!
