Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cleveland Robson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marko Grubinic! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Robson moves into the clinch. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Robson. Grubinic's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Grubinic has Robson up against the cage in a clinch.
Grubinic breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Robson lands with a nice body punch. Grubinic throws a nice head kick!
Grubinic looks gassed! Grubinic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Grubinic tries a head kick but it misses.
Robson just misses with a punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Robson throws a series of punches but Grubinic avoids them all with ease. Grubinic pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Robson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Grubinic is able to avoid easily. Grubinic circles away from the clinch attempt and Grubinic counters with a flying knee. Nice. Robson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Grubinic paws at him with a jab and circles away. Robson doesn't manage to clinch there - Grubinic circles away.
Robson throws a head kick but Grubinic moves out of range.
Grubinic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Robson clinches with his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Robson throws an elbow that misses.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Robson is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Robson manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Grubinic wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Grubinic tries to circle away but Robson has him pinned against the cage. Grubinic pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Grubinic misses with an attempted mid kick.
Marko Grubinic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Grubinic tries to clinch but Robson moves out of range. Robson closes the distance looking to clinch and Grubinic counters with a head kick. That will keep Robson thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Robson lands a nice hook to Grubinic's body. Grubinic takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Robson clinches with his opponent.
Robson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Grubinic is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Cleveland Robson will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Grubinic takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Grubinic looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Robson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Grubinic looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Robson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
It looks like Marko Grubinic has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Robson throws a sloppy head kick and Grubinic moves out of range easily. Robson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Robson scores with a body shot.
Nice uppercut there from Robson. A combination from Robson does no damage. Grubinic is breathing heavily. Robson lands a jab to Grubinic's midsection. Grubinic tries to clinch but fails miserably and Robson moves into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is keeping an eye on Robson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Robson seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Cleveland Robson. Robson wants to clinch. Grubinic tries to clinch up but Robson circles away and keeps his distance. Robson avoids a kick to the body.
Robson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Grubinic misses with a body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Robson avoids the head kick by Grubinic.
Robson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Grubinic, pushing him back against the cage. Robson stalling against the cage.
Grubinic tries to break the clinch but Robson is controlling the position. Robson is stalling here.
Robson has Grubinic pressed against the cage, preventing Grubinic from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Robson is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Grubinic is defending well for now. Robson is working for takedown but Grubinic is calmly controlling the position for now. A body shot lands from Robson.
Grubinic wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Robson has him pressed against the cage. Robson is struggling to control the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Grubinic keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Robson's efforts to push away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cleveland Robson dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Marko Grubinic's cut. That's time! Robson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Grubinic counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Robson is lucky that one didn't land flush. Grubinic shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Robson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Grubinic pinned against the cage. Grubinic gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Cleveland Robson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. No joy there for Robson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Grubinic is looking to clinch but Robson is avoiding it.
Grubinic tries to clinch up and Robson counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Grubinic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Robson is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Robson is looking to clinch. Robson connects with a crisp jab. Grubinic tries to move into range but Robson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Grubinic takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Robson has Grubinic pushed against the cage. Robson keeps control of Grubinic as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Cleveland Robson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Grubinic's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Robson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Grubinic swivels and escapes. Grubinic tries to close the distance and clinch up but Robson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Grubinic misses with a head kick.
Grubinic throws a head kick that misses and Robson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Robson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

And that's the end of the fight! Cleveland Robson showed his dominance in that final round. Well Robson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
