Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Greig Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rory Keenan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Smith might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Duality. Keenan is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Warriors Code. Greig Smith has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith defending well as Keenan loads up on a big left hand.
Keenan throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Smith is defended easily by Keenan.
Keenan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Smith.

Keenan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Smith napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Keenan is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Smith knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Smith throws and low kick but Keenan moves out of range easily.

Smith takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Keenan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Keenan is taking a breather. Smith says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Smith makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Smith.
Keenan trying to control but Smith is working from the bottom.
Smith bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Keenan's guard.
Keenan tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Keenan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Smith doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Keenan counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Smith's guard now.

Keenan drops back, looking for a kneebar! Smith looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Smith looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Smith!
Keenan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Smith wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Smith is trying to get an arm triangle but Keenan is defending well.
Keenan tries to bench press Smith off him but Smith keeps the position.

Smith working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Keenan tries to buck Smith off but Smith is having none of it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Smith wants to get back to his feet but Keenan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
