Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Syndey Nevil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Batman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nevil might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Silent Coming. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nevil stuffs the takedown.
Peter Batman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nevil pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nevil goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
It looks like Peter Batman has been cut.
Nevil fails in his attempt to clinch.

Batman throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Nevil closes this distance looking for a takedown but Batman circles away.

Nevil closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nevil lands in his opponent's guard.
Batman wants to sweep here but Nevil controlling him for the moment.

Batman pushes Nevil off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Nevil does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Nevil shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Batman counters with a stiff right hand.

and Batman counters by clinching up.
Nevil is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Batman tries to pull guard but Nevil won't allow it.
Syndey Nevil has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Batman.
Nevil wants to get back to striking at distance but Batman won't allow it.
Nevil can't break the clinch.

Batman has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Nevil is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Batman changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Nevil fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Batman misses with an attempted mid kick.
Nevil closes the distance but Batman moves to the side
and Batman counters with a good low kick that Nevil was not able to check.
Batman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Nevil decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Batman's guard.

Nevil is trying to work for a kimura but Batman is defending well.
Batman is in trouble now - Nevil has advanced to mount!
Nevil wants to take his opponent's back but Batman doesn't allow it.

Nevil tries to control but Batman wriggling away.
Batman should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Nevil content just to control the position here.
Batman is squirming around, avoiding Nevil's attempts to control the action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Batman tries to lock up and control but Nevil gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Nevil darts in trying to clinch
and Batman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Syndey Nevil is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nevil tries to clinch up but Batman circles away and keeps his distance.
Batman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nevil throws a series of punches but Batman moves out of range.
Batman rushes Nevil and presses him up against the cage.

Nevil wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Batman has him pressed against the cage.
Batman drops down looking for an ankle pick but Nevil pulls his leg out and moves away.

and Batman counters with a single leg into guard. Nevil didn't expect that.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Batman is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Batman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nevil's guard.
Batman gets to his feet. Nevil looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Nevil fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Batman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nevil's guard.

Batman looking to sit in guard and control but Nevil gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Peter Batman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Syndey Nevil.
I think Nevil has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
