Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexandre Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kelikeke Alemana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sosa kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Drake-Forever. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alemana swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Alemana cracks Sosa with a right hand to the side of the head. A punch combination from Sosa misses. Sosa misses with a wild combination.
Sosa throws a series of punches but Alemana avoids them all with ease. A nice inside leg kick there by Alemana. That's going to slow Sosa down. Alemana will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Alemana throws a combination that misses and Sosa counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Sosa uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Alemana. Alemana shoots and misses so Sosa counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Sosa tries to free his leg and advance position but Alemana is retaining full guard. Sosa with a flurry of punches that miss. Alemana trying to strike off his back.
Sosa stands and throws Alemana's legs to the side, diving into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alemana is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alemana sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Alemana blocking the ground and pound attempt from Sosa. Alemana wants to control but Sosa is keeping busy and won't allow it. Sosa wants to work for an arm triangle but Alemana is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Sosa is breathing heavily. Alemana trying to control but Sosa postures up.
Sosa looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Sosa thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Alemana's head.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Alemana goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Alemana throws a right and a left that both miss. Alemana throws a series of punches but Sosa moves out of range. Alemana fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Good leg kick by Alemana there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Alemana throws a nice outside leg kick. Alemana looks to land a combination but Sosa avoids it well. A combination from Alemana does no damage. Alemana misses with a head kick.
Sosa misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Alemana with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Alemana stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Alemana scores with a one two! Sosa had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Alemana closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Alemana lands in his opponent's guard. Alemana throws a big right hand that misses. Sosa looking for a guillotine here but Alemana defends easily.
Alemana is stalling in the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alemana is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Alemana not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Alemana slips nicely into half guard. Sosa is defending against the submission attempts here by Alemana.
Alemana takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Sosa is staying active underneath Alemana, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Alemana looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Alemana is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Sosa gets back to full guard.
Sosa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Alemana doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Sosa is tightening it up a little... Alemana has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Alemana reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Alemana taps out! nice BJJ there by Sosa!
