Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steven Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitriy Djorkaeff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 2, fighting out of London, Steven Shaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dmitriy Djorkaeff! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shaw swinging wilding here.
Djorkaeff misses with a straight left. Nice takedown defense from Djorkaeff. No joy for Shaw on that attempt. Shaw takes a swing at Djorkaeff's ribcage but misses. Djorkaeff gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Shaw counters with a series of strikes. Djorkaeff will be more careful next time no doubt. Shaw throws a shot from downtown. Djorkaeff moves away and avoids it. Dmitriy Djorkaeff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Djorkaeff tries to clinch there but Shaw circles away.

Shaw decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Shaw is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Djorkaeff defends it well. Djorkaeff blocking the ground and pound attempt from Shaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Djorkaeff is looking to control Shaw's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Djorkaeff avoid being mounted? Djorkaeff tries to roll over but Shaw keeps him under control. Djorkaeff is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Djorkaeff is trying to stand up here but Shaw is controlling him well.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Shaw defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Djorkaeff. Shaw shoots in and drives through. Djorkaeff sprawls well. Shaw throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Djorkaeff doesn't manage to clinch there - Shaw circles away.

It looks like Dmitriy Djorkaeff has been cut. Shaw blocks a head kick by Djorkaeff.
Djorkaeff is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Shaw's half guard. Shaw moves into full guard.
Djorkaeff wants to control from the top but Shaw keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Djorkaeff tries to free his leg and advance position but Shaw is retaining full guard. Shaw wants to sweep here but Djorkaeff controlling him for the moment. Shaw can't keep his opponent in guard - Djorkaeff advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Djorkaeff really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shaw. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Djorkaeff wants to pass the guard but Shaw is defending well. Shaw could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Djorkaeff stalling. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Djorkaeff is trying to control the action in half guard but Shaw is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shaw gets caught flat footed, as Djorkaeff shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Djorkaeff pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Shaw is keeping the position for now. Shaw working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Djorkaeff. Djorkaeff gets to his feet. Shaw looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Shaw is looking to score with low kicks. Djorkaeff darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Djorkaeff is looking to stall here but Shaw recovers full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Djorkaeff drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Shaw dives on top into guard. Shaw trying to stand up but can't free himself from Djorkaeff's guard. Shaw might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Shaw wants to control from the top but Djorkaeff keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Djorkaeff looking to control.

Djorkaeff is looking for a triangle but Shaw pushes his legs off easily.
Djorkaeff has his foot on Shaw's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shaw works his way back into a safe position though. Djorkaeff keeping moving, preventing Shaw from controlling successfully.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Djorkaeff with a poor takedown and Shaw counters with a nice uppercut. Djorkaeff is breathing heavily. Shaw shoots in for a takedown but Djorkaeff shows good takedown defense. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Djorkaeff. Djorkaeff shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Shaw counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Djorkaeff's guard now. Steven Shaw has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dmitriy Djorkaeff.

Shaw drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Shaw jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Shaw drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Djorkaeff dives on top into guard. Djorkaeff tries to free his leg and advance position but Shaw is retaining full guard. Djorkaeff stands up from Shaw's guard - Djorkaeff perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Djorkaeff darts in trying to clinch and Shaw counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Shaw here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Djorkaeff tries a head kick but it misses.

That was a close second round but I would say that Steven Shaw will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Dmitriy Djorkaeff's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Djorkaeff closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Djorkaeff tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Djorkaeff with the ground and pound but Shaw regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Djorkaeff trying to mount his opponent but Shaw defends it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Shaw tries to kick Djorkaeff off but Djorkaeff keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Excellent takedown into side control there by Djorkaeff. Djorkaeff wants to control but Shaw is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Djorkaeff advances nicely into full mount. Djorkaeff trying to control but Shaw is having none of it. Shaw is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Djorkaeff tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Djorkaeff misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Djorkaeff moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Shaw has worked his arm free - good work by Shaw!
And that's the end of the fight! Dmitriy Djorkaeff comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Shaw has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
