Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jonny West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rod Wallis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wallis is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: h. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jonny West! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rod Wallis! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wallis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but West moves away. West misses with a straight right. West is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wallis. West throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wallis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? West is fending him off so far but Wallis persists. Nope, West circles away and we're back to standing. West misses with the combination.
A shot to the body from West misses and Wallis counters into the clinch. Nicely done. West breaks the clinch.
West swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Wallis counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in West's guard now. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. West is trying to control the position but Wallis postures up. Wallis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallis trying to control the position from guard on top but West is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wallis is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Wallis is looking to work some ground and pound but West has wrist control. Wallis is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. West keeping moving, preventing Wallis from controlling successfully. West can't keep his opponent in guard - Wallis advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Wallis wants to free his trapped foot but West is holding on for dear life with his legs. West tries to roll over but Wallis keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Wallis takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Wallis is trying to control the action in half guard but West is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Wallis missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Wallis seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but West does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Wallis uses his free foot to push down on West's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for West. Wallis goes for an armbar but he's not got it… West turns into him and now he's in Wallis's guard.
West seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wallis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in West's guard. Wallis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Wallis wants to control from the top but West keeps moving. West preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Wallis trying to control but West is working from the bottom. West working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Wallis has passed into half guard!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. West avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Wallis. West gets full guard. Wallis throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as West works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wallis won't allow West to sweep him here. West keeping moving, preventing Wallis from controlling successfully.
Despite being in the dominant position, Rod Wallis just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. West throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wallis sees it coming and avoids it easily. A looping hook to the body misses from West. Wallis does a little dance to reset his feet. West misses with a double jab
and Wallis moves into the clinch. Wallis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. West just stands there and leans against the cage. Wallis keeps control of West as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rod Wallis dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Wallis darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Wallis scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Wallis works his foot free and advances to mount. Wallis with a couple of short strikes.

West is working hard here to advance position. Wallis with a couple of short strikes. Wallis trying to control but West is having none of it. Wallis raining down shots from the mount! Wallis is in the full mount, landing strikes.

West can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
West is trying to stand up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wallis cracks West with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wallis breaks from West's wrist control and lands an elbow. Wallis controlling his opponent. Wallis with a couple of short strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rod Wallis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
West misses with a combination

Wallis connects with a couple of short punches. Wallis wants to control from the top but West keeps moving. Wallis postures up and lands a big shot to West's brow. Wallis with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Wallis has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Wallis trying to control but West is working from the bottom. Wallis drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wallis jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Wallis preventing the sweep. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Wallis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. West is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Rod Wallis has got the better of the ground game so far. Wallis makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Wallis distracts West with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Wallis wants to control from the top but West keeps moving. Wallis wants to pass the guard but West is keeping the position. Wallis working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of West's head. Wallis scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Wallis is trying to work for a kimura but West is defending well.

Wallis working the head and body with strikes. West is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Wallis scores with a couple of nice shots. Wallis is sneakily working for an arm triangle but West sees it coming and defends easily. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wallis connects with a nice short shot to West's temple.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. West manages to get to full guard.
Wallis wants to control from the top but West keeps moving. Jonny West has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wallis forces his way into half guard. West wants to get back to his feet. Wallis wants to control but West is keeping him busy. Wallis seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Wallis trying to control from half guard but West is working away.
And that's the end of the fight! Rod Wallis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Wallis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
