Carbone has chosen Bruce Springsteen - Born in the USA as his entrance music. Frankie Carbone has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Frankie Carbone!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carbone throws a leg kick which misses Gandhi's front leg but catches the back leg as Gandhi tries to avoid it.
A solid leg kick lands there for Carbone.
Gandhi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Carbone scores with a kick to the body.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Carbone - that will leave a mark!
Gandhi is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Carbone changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gandhi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Carbone is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Gandhi's shoulder. That is not cool.
Gandhi is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Carbone wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gandhi keeps working.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Carbone decides to stand back up.

Gandhi shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Carbone wants to improve his position but Gandhi is controlling well.
Gandhi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Carbone's head.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Carbone can do anything to dispel that myth.
Carbone looks like he's trying to stand up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gandhi keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Carbone's head.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Carbone pushes Gandhi off and scrambles back to his feet.
Carbone lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
A slow jab from Gandhi misses its intended target.
Gandhi gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Carbone counters with a one-two to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Muhatma Gandhi. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Carbone fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gandhi looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Carbone with a jab.
Gandhi misses with an uppercut. Carbone saw that one coming.
Carbone lands a front kick.
Carbone tests Gandhi's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Gandhi throws a left and a right that both miss
and Carbone counters with a nice body kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Carbone throws a nice head kick!


Gandhi is rocked!
Gandhi takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Oh Gandhi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Look low, kick high! Carbone uses the oldest trick in the book to send Gandhi tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Carbone is absolutely delighted - when Gandhi wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Frankie Carbone!
