Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Manuel dos Reis Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake Jordan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Hugh Johnson and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Reis Machado, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Jordan closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Reis Machado to the mat! Reis Machado manages to get full guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jake Jordan just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

I looks like Jordan might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Reis Machado had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jordan is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Reis Machado Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jordan's back instead.
