Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucifer Dusk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kieran Carlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lucifer Dusk has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lucifer Dusk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kieran Carlin! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carlin throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Dusk could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Dusk is breathing heavily. Carlin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carlin is trying to get an arm triangle but Dusk is defending well. Dusk might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Carlin is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Dusk will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Carlin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dusk keeps working. Carlin decides to stand back up. Carlin clinches with his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carlin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Carlin throws a quick inside leg kick. Carlin shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carlin stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Dusk to get to his feet. Carlin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Carlin controls from within his opponent's guard. Carlin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Carlin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dusk swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carlin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. That's three minutes gone in the round. Carlin passes Dusk's left leg - he's now in half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Carlin lands with a punch from half guard. Carlin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Dusk is trying to stand back up but Carlin is controlling him
Well, if Carlin is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Carlin decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Carlin looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Carlin missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carlin scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Carlin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dusk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dusk is not content to let Carlin control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kieran Carlin dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Carlin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Carlin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dusk napping and manages to drive through into side control! Carlin lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Carlin cracks Dusk with an elbow. That is naaassty. Carlin wants to control but Dusk is keeping him busy. Carlin scores with punches from side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Carlin is looking to take a break and control but Dusk is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Carlin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dusk knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carlin lands a decent elbow from side control. Dusk tries to get back to half guard but can't. Carlin is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Dusk's shoulder. That is not cool.

Despite being in the dominant position, Kieran Carlin just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Carlin is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Horrible takedown by Carlin or perhaps it was just good defense by Dusk which made him look bad. Carlin fails with a takedown attempt. Carlin shoots for a double leg takedown but Dusk sprawls well. He's pushed Carlin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Lucifer Dusk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kieran Carlin. Carlin shoots in looking for a takedown. Dusk tries to sprawl out of it but Carlin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dusk manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Dusk drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carlin looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Dusk puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Dusk blocks the strikes from Carlin.
Carlin gets full guard. Dusk drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dusk jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Carlin working a defensive guard here.
Carlin wants to improve his position but instead Dusk has moved into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kieran Carlin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Dusk throws a head kick that misses. Carlin tries to clinch up. Carlin misses with a takedown attempt and Dusk counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Carlin can't get the takedown.
Carlin manages to break the clinch.
Carlin shoots in and bounces Dusk off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Carlin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dusk is keeping the position for now. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Carlin sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Dusk doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Carlin paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Dusk - great work!
