Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Almeida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Harper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Almeida's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, SSS- The Cult. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harper pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Harper looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Almeida is trying hard to land a takedown here. Harper sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Harper throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Harper defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Almeida.
Harper throws a right and a left that both miss.
Almeida shoots in for a takedown but Harper shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricardo Almeida. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Almeida walks into a straight right hand from Harper.

Harper gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Almeida to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Almeida is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Almeida drops back looking for a leg! Harper is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Harper manages to kick Almeida off! Almeida jumps back into Harper's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Almeida stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harper swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Almeida trying to control the position from guard on top but Harper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Almeida will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Almeida shoots for a double leg takedown but Harper sprawls well. He's pushed Almeida's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Matt Harper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Almeida misses with a takedown attempt - Harper sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Almeida shoots in but Harper avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Harper keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Harper pivots, looking for a leg kick but Almeida is out of range and Harper settles back down.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Harper tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Almeida shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Harper napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Almeida has hold of Harper's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Harper seems comfortable defending it but Almeida has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Harper is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Harper is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Almeida couldn't care less - he's delighted!
