Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cain Noffsinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Dover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Noffsinger might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Flash Gordon. Dover has chosen Bend Over as his entrance music. Ben Dover has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Cain Noffsinger's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cain Noffsinger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ben Dover! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Noffsinger looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Dover shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dover was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Noffsinger is in all sorts of trouble here.
Dover looking to ground and pound but Noffsinger is blocking nicely. Dover punching from mount but Noffsinger doing a good job of avoiding damage. Dover goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Noffsinger turns into him and now he's in Dover's guard.
Dover looking for a sweep. Not yet Dover, not yet. Noffsinger is looking to work some ground and pound but Dover has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Noffsinger throwing strikes but missing. Noffsinger thows a big elbow that misses. Noffsinger trying to control but Dover is working from the bottom. Dover is trying to control the position but Noffsinger postures up. Noffsinger got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dover has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Noffsinger has managed to get both his arms back between Dover's legs - danger averted. Noffsinger looking to pass the guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Noffsinger tries to clinch there but Dover circles away.
Dover looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Noffsinger is fending him off so far but Dover persists. Nope, Noffsinger circles away and we're back to standing. Noffsinger has closed the distance and engaged Dover in a clinch.
Noffsinger has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dover avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Noffsinger pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Noffsinger tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dover paws at him with a jab and circles away. The fight stays on the outside here - Dover looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Dover looks for a takedown but Noffsinger sprawls well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Noffsinger clinches but Dover breaks the clinch and Dover counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dover pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Noffsinger is keeping the position for now. Noffsinger wants to sweep here but Dover controlling him for the moment. Noffsinger is pulling down on Dover's head to control his posture. Noffsinger on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Noffsinger tries to get out of the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dover wants to control from the top but Noffsinger keeps moving. Dover postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Noffsinger is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dover, into his guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Dover is trying to keep Noffsinger in close.
Noffsinger tries to free his leg and advance position but Dover is retaining full guard. Dover keeping moving, preventing Noffsinger from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Noffsinger's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Dover bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Noffsinger's guard. Dover thows a big elbow that misses. Noffsinger looking to sweep here. No luck so far. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dover accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Dover throws a big right hand that misses. Noffsinger wants to sweep but no luck. Dover drops back, looking for a kneebar! Noffsinger looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Noffsinger looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Noffsinger! Noffsinger remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ben Dover dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Dover closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Noffsinger did well to prevent Dover getting side control. Noffsinger is staying active underneath Dover, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Noffsinger slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Dover pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Noffsinger is keeping the position for now. Dover preventing the sweep. Noffsinger is looking to stand up but Dover isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dover stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Noffsinger swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dover preventing the sweep.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Noffsinger circles away from the clinch attempt and Noffsinger counters by moving into the clinch. Noffsinger tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Dover goes for a takedown attempt but Noffsinger pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Noffsinger gets a clinch. Noffsinger lands a damaging elbow. Dover takes a knee to the side of the body. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Dover goes for a takedown in the clinch but Noffsinger prevents it.
Dover is breathing heavily. Noffsinger lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dover blocking the ground and pound attempt from Noffsinger. Noffsinger works his foot free and advances to mount. Dover sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Noffsinger works his way into full mount! Dover really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Noffsinger wants to control the pace but Dover is squirming around nicely. Noffsinger punishing his opponent with strikes.

A nice elbow there by Noffsinger. Noffsinger controlling from mount. Dover regains half guard. Noffsinger wants to free his trapped foot but Dover is holding on for dear life with his legs. Noffsinger sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Dover defending well though. Dover is looking to control Noffsinger's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dover avoid being mounted? Ben Dover has got the better of the ground game so far.

Noffsinger throwing shots but Dover is blocking nicely. Noffsinger working over Dover with some ground and pound. Dover looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Noffsinger wants to pass to mount but Dover is defending the position. Dover looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Noffsinger is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Dover trying to control from the bottom.

Dover stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Noffsinger swivels though and keeps the full guard. Noffsinger is controlling Dover's posture. Noffsinger looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Dover with a flurry of punches that miss. Noffsinger pulls Dover in close to prevent any damage. Noffsinger utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dover throws and elbow that misses. Noffsinger uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dover's guard. Nice move by Noffsinger! Noffsinger knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dover on the ground. Noffsinger trying to control but Dover is working from the bottom. Noffsinger stands up over Dover, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Dover keeping moving, preventing Noffsinger from controlling successfully. Noffsinger is looking to work some ground and pound but Dover has wrist control. Dover is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Dover is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Noffsinger slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Noffsinger is looking to take a break and control but Dover is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dover gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Dover is staying active underneath Noffsinger, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Dover throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Noffsinger manages to pass to side control. Noffsinger looking to control but instead Dover has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Noffsinger throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Noffsinger not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Dover is refusing to be controlled, as Noffsinger sits in half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Noffsinger connects with a nice short shot to Dover's temple. Dover keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Dover tries to get to full guard but Noffsinger has control of the leg. Noffsinger lands strikes from half guard. Dover looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Dover takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Noffsinger thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dover's head. Dover trying to hold on to Noffsinger's head to control him but Noffsinger postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Noffsinger seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Dover blocking the ground and pound attempt from Noffsinger. Noffsinger drops an elbow to the side of Dover's head. Dover makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dover. Noffsinger has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Dover avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Noffsinger working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Ben Dover comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Dover has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
